Vox Pops
1 – 3 Hour Activity (suitable for 10 – 100 people - Outdoors)
Get out of your meeting room and on to the street for this twist on film making. This event requires teams to interview members of the public with a view to creating a promotional video for the product they have been given – which could be anything from a bar of soap to a bag of brussel sprouts!
Vox populi – ‘the voice of the people’ is a phrase that comes from the world of media and broadcasting that forms the basis of this challenge. Vox Pops is a great team event that will test the teams planning, ingenuity, teamwork and presentation skills.
Each team is supplied with a technician with camera and edit facilities plus a product that they must promote. The product can be as simple as a chocolate bar, a bag of brussel sprouts, a box of fish fingers, a Barbie doll or perhaps even one of your company products. The task is to take that product out on to the street and get interviews from members of the public to promote that product (positively)!

Teams will be required to prepare their own script as well as creating a strategy on how to tackle the man on the street… which can require a certain amount of bottle!. Finding them is one thing - asking them the right questions is another matter completely! Finding the right ‘characters’ to add colour to your finished film will help even more!
Having got their Vox Pops ‘in the can’ it is then a matter of editing that down into an award winning 2 minute summary of their product which will be shown at the end of the day.

Our Requirements
We will need a separate syndicate room for technicians to use for editing. This activity is best held in a town or city centre with teams out and about talking to the general public.
