The Wine Challenge
1.5hrs to 2.5hrs Activity - (suitable for 10 – 200 guests, Indoors - Usually held over a meal)
Our interactive ‘Wine Challenge’ gives your delegates the opportunity to sample some fine wines and laugh at their ability, or inability to recall what they have learnt. The show is fast-moving, highly participative and great fun! Co-presented by our wine expert and our compere our ‘Wine Challenge’ is sure to both educate and entertain your delegates.
The format is entirely flexible with an array of different rounds to choose from. These range from; ‘Quick Fire Quiz’ and ‘Speed Tasting’, to 'Sing The Next Wine'. In between each round (and during some rounds), your delegates will taste various wines and pick up some fascinating facts.
Outline
‘The Wine Challenge’ is ideal for groups of 30 to 100 delegates, but can be adapted for smaller or larger groups. Your group will be split into teams of 4 - 10 delegates, with points to be won in each round. Typically your delegates will get to taste 8 wines, but the number of wines tasted and number of rounds played depends on how much time is available for the activity. As a guide we require a minimum of 2 hours to complete ‘The Wine Challenge’. The best format is to combine the show with dinner, breaking halfway for the starter & main course, then continuing the entertainment and finishing with dessert & coffee. Alternatively, a pre-dinner show also works very well. At the end of ‘The Wine Challenge’ our compere will announce the results and the winning team will receive a bottle of champagne!
